Victorian Jet Disk Earrings

A pair of antique earrings dating to the Victorian era. These earrings feature jet disks that are set in 14k rosy gold and completed with hinged ear fittings that are inserted through the back of the ear and clasped to the back of gold disk. Based off the design, it is presumed that these were earring tops and when made, featured an earring drop component that looped in from the ear wire fitting – otherwise known as day-to-night earrings.
